Lita Smith
Lyrical atmospheric landscapes rooted in light, memory and stillness.
Newest Project: February 2026
Two atmospheric panels explores the threshold between land, water, and light. In the first, a muted sun dissolves into horizon haze. In the second, small shorebirds move along a sloped edge beneath a wind-softened sky.
Working in restrained chromatic neutrals and compressed values, these paintings emphasize quiet luminosity over contrast. Edges dissolve. Forms soften. Light lingers rather than declares itself.
Together, the pair invites stillness - a moment suspended between tide and breath.

“Lingering in the Light” Series January 2026
A cohesive painting series available for exhibition and private acquisition.
Lingering in the Light explores the quiet threshold between presence and memory-where the light softens form and time slows. These paintings are not about place as much as they are about pause: moments of stillness that invite reflection, calm, and breath.

“Light Reflections” Series January 2026
A cohesive painting series available for exhibition and private acquisition
Light Reflections is a contemplative series exploring how light transforms atmosphere and perception. Through layered acrylic veils, compressed values, and softened edges, the paintings reduce visual noise to allow luminosity to emerge gently.
